AI Trainer/Annotator, Researcher, Evaluator & RLHF Auditor | 37+ Years in Energy & Mining | Digital Publisher
कोयला खनन, प्रौद्योगिकी, समाजशास्त्र, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI) और डिजिटल मीडिया में 37+ वर्षों के पेशेवर अनुभव के साथ, मैं AI Trainer/Annotator, AI Researcher, AI Evaluator और RLHF Auditor (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) के रूप में कार्य कर रहा हूँ। मेरी यात्रा भारत की कोयला खदानों और ऊर्जा क्षेत्र से शुरू होकर AI, डिजिटल प्रकाशन और मातृभाषा ओड़िया के संवर्धन तक पहुँची है। साथ ही, भारत संघ की राजभाषा हिंदी के साथ मेरा पेशेवर जुड़ाव भी इस यात्रा का अहम हिस्सा रहा है।
राष्ट्र की सेवा के 37+ वर्ष — भारत की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा
मेरे करियर का बड़ा हिस्सा महानदी कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (MCL) में बीता, जो कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड की सहायक कंपनी है; कोल इंडिया भारत सरकार की महारत्न कंपनी है। 37 वर्षों से अधिक समय तक मैंने छत्तीसगढ़, मध्य प्रदेश और ओडिशा में कोयला खनन उद्योग के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में कार्य किया और देश की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा में अपना योगदान दिया।
MCL तथा CIL की अन्य सहायक कंपनियों में मेरी प्रमुख जिम्मेदारियाँ थीं:
- ओपनकास्ट एवं भूमिगत कोयला खनन
- प्रशिक्षण एवं मानव संसाधन विकास (HRD)
- रेलवे साइडिंग प्रबंधन
- नोडल अधिकारी (विस्फोटक) के रूप में विस्फोटक प्रबंधन
- पर्यावरण एवं वन संबंधी कार्य
- खदान बंदी एवं खनन-पश्चात गतिविधियाँ
करियर के अंतिम चरण में मैंने MCL मुख्यालय के पर्यावरण विभाग में Mining Closure Expert के रूप में कार्य किया और उसके बाद सेवानिवृत्त हुआ।
खनन के साथ-साथ प्रौद्योगिकी और समाज में भी मेरी रुचि बढ़ी। मैंने वर्ष 2001 में संबलपुर विश्वविद्यालय से कंप्यूटर अनुप्रयोग में स्नातकोत्तर डिप्लोमा (PGDCA) प्राप्त किया। समाजशास्त्र की पृष्ठभूमि मुझे प्रौद्योगिकी, समाज, भाषा और मानव व्यवहार के संबंध को समझने में मदद करती है। पश्चिमी ओडिशा में 32 वर्षों से अधिक रहने के कारण मुझे वहाँ के लोगों, संस्कृति और सामाजिक परिवेश का गहरा अनुभव मिला।
कोयला खनन से Artificial Intelligence तक
सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद मैं अपनी मातृभूमि और मातृभाषा के लिए योगदान जारी रखना चाहता था। इसी दौरान मुझे एक प्रमुख अमेरिकी AI कंपनी के लिए Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) के अंतर्गत, यानी परियोजना की गोपनीयता बनाए रखने के औपचारिक समझौते के साथ, अंशकालिक AI Trainer/Researcher के रूप में दूरस्थ कार्य का अवसर मिला।
पहला AI कार्य — Hindi AI Trusted Tester
नवंबर 2025 से मई 2026 तक मैंने AI Trusted Tester (Hindi) के रूप में दूरस्थ कार्य किया। पारिश्रमिक सीमित था, लेकिन मेरा उद्देश्य AI training, evaluation और research का व्यावहारिक अनुभव प्राप्त करना था।
2017 से अप्रैल 2024 तक मैंने पर्यावरण एवं वन क्षेत्र में नोडल अधिकारी – राजभाषा के रूप में कार्य किया। भाषा-संबंधी यह अनुभव AI model alignment में सीधे उपयोगी रहा और AI क्षेत्र में मेरे प्रवेश का मार्ग बना।
वर्तमान AI कार्य — Odia RLHF
वर्तमान में मैं AI model training के लिए RLHF Auditor (Odia) के रूप में कार्य करता हूँ। मैं AI के उत्तरों का इन आधारों पर मूल्यांकन करता हूँ:

With 37+ years of professional experience across coal mining, technology, sociology, artificial intelligence and digital media, I am an AI Trainer/Annotator, AI Researcher, AI Evaluator and RLHF Auditor (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback). My journey has taken me from India's coal mines and energy sector to AI, digital publishing, and the promotion of my mother tongue, Odia, alongside my professional association with Hindi, the Official Language of the Union of India.
37+ Years of Service to the Nation — India's Energy Security
A major part of my career was spent at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, a Government of India Maharatna company. For over 37 years I served in the coal-mining industry across Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, contributing to India's energy security.
Key responsibilities in MCL and other CIL subsidiaries included:
- Opencast and underground coal mining
- Training and Human Resource Development (HRD)
- Railway siding management
- Explosives management as Nodal Officer (Explosive)
- Environment and forest-related responsibilities
- Mine closure and post-mining activities
In the final stage of my career, I served at MCL Headquarters as a Mining Closure Expert in the Environment Department before retiring.
Alongside mining, I developed a strong interest in technology and society. I earned a PG Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from Sambalpur University in 2001. My background in Sociology helps me understand the relationship between technology, society, language and human behaviour. Over 32 years in Western Odisha gave me deep exposure to its people, culture and social environment.
From Coal Mining to Artificial Intelligence
After retirement, I wanted to keep contributing to my Matrubhumi (motherland) and Matrubhasha (mother tongue). I received an opportunity to work remotely as a part-time AI Trainer/Researcher for a major American AI company under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), a formal agreement protecting project confidentiality.
First AI Assignment — Hindi AI Trusted Tester
From November 2025 to May 2026, I worked remotely as an AI Trusted Tester (Hindi). The remuneration was nominal, but my goal was practical exposure to AI training, evaluation and research.
From 2017 to April 2024, I served as Nodal Officer – Rajbhasha in the Environment and Forest area. This experience in language work became directly relevant to AI model alignment and was my doorway into AI.
Current AI Work — Odia RLHF
I currently work as an RLHF Auditor (Odia) for AI model training, evaluating outputs for:
- Accuracy and relevance
- Linguistic quality and naturalness
- Logical reasoning and overall usefulness
